Lakewood: A Real Estate Developer & Builder

Over 4000 residents in the Lower Mainland proudly live in a Lakewood family home. Each home is a testament to the company’s ability to achieve the perfect balance between function and stylish design. Whether it’s a row of Surrey townhomes, a condominium near the park, or a single-family dwelling, Lakewood lays out each element of the built environment with homeowners in mind. The end result is homes with top-of-the-line appliances, functional layouts, beautiful interiors, and effective integration with the surrounding community.

About Us

It was 1967 when brothers Jerry and Hans Luking decided to start building quality, single family homes in Richmond, B.C.

A year later, Contour Construction was incorporated and Jerry and Hans honed their craft of building exceptional homes in neighbourhoods throughout Richmond. After several years of construction, the brothers saw an opportunity to provide the same building standards at a greater scale, and therefore turned their energies toward multi-family homes. By the late 1970’s, the first townhome complex was completed and the foundation of Lakewood was formed. Over these years Lakewood has steadily built a reputation as quality builders who design, build, and help shape communities throughout Greater Vancouver. In 1991, Lakewood Development opened the doors to their Surrey office, where they currently operate. Today, they are one of the most respected and trusted builders in Greater Vancouver.

Lakewood is a proud builder of communities, neighbourhoods and homes throughout Greater Vancouver. Today, over 4,000 families are proud owners of Lakewood family homes. With each current and future project, the legacy and reputation of Lakewood is reflected in the quality of each and every home built.
